Educational Machinery

GRINDERS
Our educational 200mm grinders are generally supplied in the form of a technology system machine (host unit mounted on a dust extractor) or as a pedestal mounted unit that can be connected to a remote extraction device. 200mm grinders are equipped with “burst protection” guarding with spark deflectors, adjustable work rests and polycarbonate eye shields as standard. Electrical push button controls via “no volt” release contactors are fitted with thermal overload protection and kick stop isolation is available for pedestal models along with low voltage lighting as an optional extra. The 200mm series bench units are also available as combination units, whereby the workstation choice is selected from either peripheral or side grinding, polishing or wire brushing. Pedestals with grinders attached are fitted with water pots as standard.

BELT SANDERS/BANDFACER MODELS
A range test of heavy duty belt sanders arranged in either horizontal or vertical patterns for typical finishing work, along with a specifically designed flat tool sharpener for plane/chisel tool sharpening. All manufactured to exacting standards and constructed for many years of service in the harsh environment of industry.

POLISHERS/BRUSHERS
A pedestal mounted polisher/brusher designed for educational or low peripheral velocity requirements, operating at 1500 rpm spindle speed - (15.9M/Sec @ 200mm) capable of being connected to stand alone dust extractors when equipped with underside hoppers/ports. Electrical push button controls via “no volt” release contactors fitted with thermal overload protection. Kick stop isolation available for pedestal models along with low voltage lighting as an optional extra.

COMBINATION UNITS
We manufacture an extensive range of combination units offering various work station configurations to suit individual needs. Ranging from 200mm pedestal mounted models through to 250mm diameter integral pedestal mounted units and a choice of single or three phase electrics and the 250mm models can be connected to stand alone extractors.

Each is based upon machine technology tried and tested over many years in the harsh environment of industry, but presented as an item of attractive appearance and simple function that will in itself encourage use by students at whatever level of instruction.

DUST EXTRACTION
The 'Compact 10' is a small mobile dust collector for efficient collection of wood dust from small bandsaws, bandfacers and disk sanders. The 'MS; Popular Series range comprises of four sizes of free standing machines suitable for use with grinding, polishing and abrasive belt sanders from within the product range or for similar machines of equal performance.
